The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for enhancing radiation therapy for cancer, containing a functional inhibitor for the association of the Snail 1 protein transcription factor with DNA-PKcs. The present invention also relates to a method for screening an active material for enhancing radiation therapy for cancer, including the step of: selecting a sample which inhibits the expression of the Snail1 gene in a cancer cell line; or selecting a sample which inhibits the association of Snail1 with DNA-PKcs.
