The invention relates to a method for producing thermoplastic molding compounds, wherein the thermoplastic molding compounds comprise a) 40 to 93.8% by weight of one or more (methyl)styrol-acrylnitrile copolymers comprising no units derived from maleic acid anhydride, having a viscosity number VZ equal to or less than 70 ml/g (measured according to DIN 53727 at 25°C as a 0.5% solution by weight in dimethyl formamide), as component A, b) 0.1 to 20% by weight of one or more compatibility agents as component B, c) 1 to 50% by weight of glass fibers as component C, d) 0.1 to 10% by weight of one or more flow enhancers as component D, e) 5 to 50% by weight of a rubber as component E, and f) 0 to 49% by weight of further additives as component F, wherein each % by weight is based on the total weight of components A to F and result in a total of 100% by weight, by melt mixing the components A - F, wherein according to the invention a melt comprising the components A, B, C, and D is produced in a first process step in the absence of component E, and component E is mixed in only in a subsequent second process step in said melt. The invention further relates to thermoplastic molding compounds and master batches that can be obtained as products or intermediate products according to said method, to the use of said thermoplastic molding compounds and master batches, as well as molded parts, fibers, and films comprising said thermoplastic molding compounds and/or master batches.
