The connection assembly (2) comprises a first metal tubular element (3) having an end portion (4) comprising abutment means (5), a second tubular element (6) made of a synthetic material and fitted around the end portion of the first tubular element, and a sealing device (7) fitted over the end portion (4) of the first tubular element so as to bear against the abutment means, the sealing device comprising a rigid ring (8), and first and second resilient sealing means (14, 15) rigidly connected to the rigid ring, the first sealing means (14) projecting from the outer surface of the rigid ring and engaging with the inner surface of the second tubular element (6), and the second sealing means (15) projecting from the inner surface of the rigid ring and engaging with the outer surface of the end portion (4) of the first tubular element (3).
