Disclosed is a novel hydroxyalkylated polyalkylene polyamine composition, and a method for preparing the hydroxyalkylated polyalkylene polyamine composition at low cost. Further disclosed is a method for producing a polyurethane resin by using the hydroxyalkylated polyalkylene polyamine composition containing at least two hydroxyalkylated polyalkylene polyamines represented by the following general formula (1):In the formula (1), R₁ to R₅ are independently a C₁ to C₃ alkyl group or a substituent represented by the following general formula (2):wherein R₆ and R₇ are independently a hydrogen atom or a C₁ to C₄ alkyl group, and p is an integer from 1 to 3; and R₅ and R₁, R₂, R₃, or R₄ may arbitrarily bond together to form a ring; at least one of R₁ to R₅ is a substituent represented by the general formula (2) but all of R₁ to R₅ cannot be substituents represented by the general formula (2) at the same time; n and m are independently an integer from 1 to 5; and a is an integer from 1 to 6.
