Disclosed is a steel pipe-concrete composite pile, in which the inside of a steel pipe is lined with a concrete or a concrete is filled in the inside of a steel pipe. In the steel pipe-concrete composite pile, the relationship represented by the formula: 325 N/mm2 σ yd ≤ 5.15 σc (wherein σ yd (N/mm2) represents the design yield strength of the steel pipe; and σc (N/mm2) represents the compressive strength of the concrete) is fulfilled. In the steel pipe-concrete composite pile, the relationship represented by the formula: D/t ≤ 80+80×(2·R/D)1/4 (wherein D (mm) represents the diameter of the steel pipe; t (mm) represents the thickness of the steel pipe sheet; and R (mm) represents the thickness of the concrete) is also fulfilled. The steel pipe-concrete composite pile has the most suitable structure for the use of a material having high yield strength.
