The invention concerns a method and system for enabling a user to interact at a user terminal (11) with a Media Server (24) through a TDM network, said Media Sever (24) being adapted to exchange signals according to a first protocol type, said TDM network elements being adapted to exchange signals according to a second protocol. According to the invention, said method comprises steps establishing (S33) a first session between a SCP (13) and said Media Server (24) using said first protocol type; establishing a second session between a SSP (12) and said Media Server (24) using second protocol through a conversion module (15), said second session being used for establishing (S36) a communication path between said user terminal (11) and said Media Server (24); correlating (S37) at said Media Server (24) said first session with said second session; Controlling (S38) interactions between said user terminal (11) and said Media Server (24) using control signals transmitted to said Media Server (24) via first session, said control signals depending on information received by said Media Server (24) from said user terminal (11) within said second session.
