The present invention relates to a method, an apparatus, and a system for implementing a task in a cluster environment. In the embodiments of the present invention, a specified application in the cluster retrieves the task from the database, loads the retrieved task, creates a task instance and stores the task instance into the memory of the server that runs the application. In this way, a task in the database is never loaded repeatedly in the cluster environment.
