PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING AND PURIFYING TERT-ALKYL (ALCOHOL) ETHER BY COMBINATIONAL DISTILLATION-EXTRACTION

Disclosed is a process and an apparatus for separating and purifying tert-alkyl (alcohol) ether by combinational distillation-extraction, wherein, the raw material is a to-be-separated mixture of tert-alkyl (alcohol) ether which is obtained by etherification of C₁ aliphatic monohydric alcohol or C_1-2 aliphatic monohydric alcohol with a water content from at least more than 1 wt.% to at most 15 wt.% and an isoolefin with at least four carbon atoms, and the process described is the combinational distillation-extraction. In the process, the utilization ratio of the isoolefin is improved. In addition, in the whole separation and purification process, the qualified tert-alkyl (alcohol) ether comprising less than 1 wt.% of the C_1-2 aliphatic monohydric alcohol can be obtained by adding only one extraction zone. Moreover, in the process, the cost is decreased, and the ethanol with a water content from at least more than 1 wt.% to at most 15wt% can be used as the raw material in the etherification reaction, thereby the process have high commercial benefit.
