The invention relates to a propellant charge magazine and to a combat compartment equipped with a propellant charge magazine. The combat compartment is arranged inside a combat compartment housing (13), which can be part of a firing module. A propellant charge magazine is arranged in a magazine housing (12), which is laterally attached to the combat compartment housing (13). In the magazine housing (12), a device (8) for discharging cooling air is arranged in order to cool the propellant charge magazine. Air outlet openings (9) facing the combat compartment are arranged in the lower area of the magazine housing (12). The device (8) for discharging cooling air is connected to the supply line (16) of a cooling air distribution system for the combat compartment by means of an air supply line (6). The cooling air distribution system has an air outlet device (2) connected to the supply line (16), from which air outlet device the cooling air is conducted downward in a lateral area (SB) of the combat compartment housing (13) and then upward in the center area (MB) of the combat compartment housing (13) to an outlet opening (4).
