The invention relates to a hairstyling method wherein at least one water-based hairstyling compound is applied to the hair, the hair is styled before, during or after the application and the styled hair is subsequently dried by using merely one gas stream, wherein the gas stream is generated by using a compressed gas container, comprising at least one propellant. The improved styling method results in an improved styling using water-based hairstyling compounds and can be carried out anywhere.
