The invention relates to a reactor device comprising normal pipes and thermal pipes provided with a temperature probe, each type of pipe being filled with catalyst bodies. In order to be able to model the temperature profile that develops in the normal pipes in the thermal pipes, each type of pipe is filled with such catalyst bodies that the ratio of the catalytic activity to the pipe wall surface in a segment of the pipes determined by a reaction section is the same in normal pipes and thermal pipes.
