A system and a method for electronic advertisement spots. The system includes an electronic advertisement business server, a download play server, and an electronic advertisement display terminal. Wherein, the electronic advertisement display terminal is provided with a storage device, and integrated with a browser middleware. The electronic advertisement display terminal includes a network access and bandwidth calculation module, a download module, a storage module and a play module etc. After detecting the change of an advertisement plan, the electronic advertisement display terminal interacts with the electronic advertisement business server according to the bandwidth which is obtained by the network bandwidth calculation module. The electronic advertisement display terminal, controlled by spots control script, obtains the content of spots in real time or downloads it ahead. The quality of spots is ensured, and network bandwidth is saved.
