The guardrail (1) has a panel (10) made of a rigid material such as glass e.g. organic glass, and integration units (11) for integrating the panel to a receiving structure (2). The integration units include a glue (12) for gluing a part of the integration units to the panel. The integration units include an integration plate (112) glued to a lower part of the panel, and another integration plate (113) with a screw (14) for integrating the integration units to the structure, where one of the plates is made of a material e.g. aluminum, inoxidable metal and galvanized steel sheet. The glue can be Dow Corning(RTM: silicone glue). An independent claim is also included for a method for integrating a guardrail to a receiving structure.
