In the disclosed 3D display device, when a user touches a dominant eye determination image — comprising a left viewpoint image and a right viewpoint image — displayed three dimensionally on a 3D display unit (14) provided in a touch panel (22), the location coordinates touched are obtained via the touch panel (22). Based on the aforementioned obtained touch location coordinates and the standard coordinates for each dominant eye determination image, a dominant eye determination processor (24) determines the dominant eye of the user according to whether the aforementioned obtained location coordinates are closer to the standard coordinates of the left viewpoint image or the standard coordinates of the right viewpoint image. This determination is based on the fact that "the place touched on the 3D dominant eye determination image will be closer to the standard coordinates of the viewpoint image on the side of the dominant eye of the user." Thus, using this 3D display device it is possible to easily determine the dominant eye of a user, and using the determination results it is possible to obtain the intended location coordinates of a user.
