COMPOSITION OF ONE OF THE MATERIALS FORMING A PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL BARRIER THAT SERVES TO PROTECT BUILDINGS AGAINST TERMITES

The invention relates to a composition of one of the materials forming a physical-chemical barrier that is interposed between the ground and the elements of a building that can be crossed by subterranean termites. The present invention consists of a formulation intended for the preventive protection of constructions against subterranean termites, characterised by the combination of an insecticide powder and an abrasive bonded by a synthetic or natural latex. The resulting combination counters the passage of subterranean termites by both its chemical activity and physical characteristics, thereby forming an effective physical-chemical barrier. The formulation according to the invention is in a liquid or pasty form that solidifies after application. Application is carried out by spreading or spraying the formulation on the floors and/or the structural elements and/or the masonry work. The formulation according to the invention is especially intended for protecting buildings against invasions of subterranean termites.
