Method and devices for network topology identification

A method and associated devices are disclosed for determining topology information of a network, the network comprising a set of transmission lines carrying associated transmission signals, comprising- determining an estimate of crosstalk between every pair of lines of the set of transmission lines,- deriving distance information for at least one pair of transmission lines based on the estimates of crosstalk; and associated devices.;A method which takes into account a novel concept of confusion for determining the distance information has also been provided.
