METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LYOCELL BASED CARBON FIBER AND LYOCELL BASED CARBON FABRIC

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing lyocell based carbon fiber, and the lyocell based carbon fabric are provided to dip lyocell based carbon fiber or fabric into a silicon polymer solution and a flame retardant salt solution in advance to stabilize the process thereof. CONSTITUTION: Lyocell fiber is woven in a twill fabric structure(1), and the woven fabric is cleaned by acetone(2). The cleaned fabric is dipped into the solution of RTV silicon 5 weight% for 30 minutes(3), and then into the solution of an ammonium chloride 15 weight% for 30 minutes. The fabric is dried and stabilized in a heat treatment furnace(4). The carbonization for the fabric is performed for 10 hours(5), and then the graphitization for the fabric is performed(6).
