PURPOSE: A multiview image compression device and a method thereof for performing the compression of a multiview image and designing a space prediction structure by using a geometric structure of a camera are provided to improve compression efficiency and maximize the space correlation by designing the space prediction structure.;CONSTITUTION: A geometric information extractor(110) extracts geometry information from a plurality of cameras. A space prediction structure determiner(120) determines the space prediction structure by using the geometry information. A multiview image compressor(130) compresses the camera image according to the space prediction structure.
