INCREMENTAL SINGLE DOCUMENT SUMMARIZING METHOD USING SUPPORTEDNESS OF SENTENCES

PURPOSE: An incremental single document summarizing method using a sentence support degree is provided to arrange the sentences of a document and to use the arranged sentences in order to produce a summary of the document. CONSTITUTION: An initial summary is produced by extracting the most important sentences from a document(S20). A disposition value of the other sentences is updated by using a classification system based on the summary(S30). The degree of support for the summary is calculated based on the disposition value. A new sentence is input into the summary and extracted based on the degree of support(S40). A summary, organized by priority, is produced until all the sentences are included in the summary(S50).
