PURPOSE: A method for tracing location in a portable terminal is provided to detect the current location of a portable terminal by receiving GPS satellite navigation message.;CONSTITUTION: A controller extracts the information of the satellite for GPS from a signal of a base station(S204). The controller receives the navigation message from the satellite for GPS(S212). The controller detects the current location of the portable terminal(S214). The controller renews the current location of the portable terminal(S226).
