PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and an operating method thereof are provided to remove the flicker effect thereby improving the picture quality of the liquid crystal display device.;CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel displays the image in response to the gate signal and data signal. A panel drive circuit supplies the gate signal and data signal in response to the control signal to the LCD panel. A timing controller(120) is inputted an image data signal(RGB), a horizontal synchronization signal(H SYNC), a vertical synchronizing signal(V SYNC), a clock signal(MCLK) and a data enable signal(DE) from an external device.
