PURPOSE: A composition containing salmon fraction for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis is provided to reduce lipid content in feces, serum, and liver tissue.;CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis contains a salmon fraction with anti-obesity and anti-thrombotic effect as an active ingredient. The salmon fraction is obtained by removing intestine, head, tail and bone of whole salmon and extracting with polar solvent. The polar solvent is water, low alcohol of C1-C4 or mixture thereof. A health food for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis contains salmon fraction with anti-obesity and anti-thrombotic effect as an active ingredient.
