PURPOSE: A method for producing a biosorbent is provided to effectively remove basic dye in broad pH concentration range and enhance affinity. CONSTITUTION: A biosorbent for removing cationic pollutant comprises a compound containing one or more from carboxylic group, sulfonic acid or phosphate group which is additionally bound to a biomass. The carboxylic group bound to the biomass is denoted by the chemical formula 1.
