LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE COMPOSITE USING INDUSTRIAL WASTE amp; LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: A lightweight aggregate composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture the artificial light-weight aggregate with the excellent quality, having the absolute-dry density less than 1.4g/cm^3. CONSTITUTION: A lightweight aggregate composition using industrial waste contains 10~50wt% of bottom ash, 30~80wt% of stone powder sludge, and 5~40wt% of steel slag. The steel slag includes 25~30wt% of Fe_2O_3, and 20~25wt% of CaO. A manufacturing method of lightweight aggregate comprises the following steps: mixing the lightweight aggregate composition in a dehydrated state to form a pulverized body; molding a spherical body by pelletizing the pulverized body; drying the molded spherical body, and foaming; and cooling the produced lightweight aggregate and granular separating.
