Pharmaceutical compositions for prevention and treatment of influenza viral diseases containing Sophora flavescens extracts, fractions, the isolated pterocarpan and flavonoid compounds therefrom, or the pharmaceutically acceptable salts as an active ingredient

PURPOSE: A Sophora flavescens extract and pterocarpan and flavonoid compounds are provided to suppress neuraminidase and to prevent and treat influenza viral infection. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating influenza viral infection contains flavonoid comound of chemical formula 2 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. A method for isolating the compound of chemical formula 2 comprises: a step of extracting Sophora flavescens with water, alcohol of C1-C4 or mixture solvent thereof to obtain Sophora flavescens extract; a step of suspending Sophora flavescens extract with water and fractioning with hexane, chloroform and ethyl acetate in order to obtain Sophora flavescens fraction; and a step of isolating the Sophora flavescens fraction by silica gel chromatography and purifying.
