PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing cypress essential oil is provided to improve memory and cognitive function. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition having an effect of improving memory and cognitive function contains: a first essential oil of cypress essential oil; and a second essential oil containing pine needle essential oil, lavender essential oil, rosemary essential oil, or timeless essential oil. The total amount of the first essential oil and second essential oil is 0.01-100 weight%. The second essential oil is contained in 0.01-100 weight parts based on 100 weight parts of the first essential oil. The cosmetic composition is manufactured in the form of shampoo, rinse, lotion, cream, skin, cleansing agent, mousse, spray, hair wax, or hair gel.
