PURPOSE: A bridge support with a shear-resistant device for earthquake resistance and an installing method thereof are provided to ensure the safety of the bridge against the earthquake without a further earthquake-resistant unit since the resistance force sufficient to the horizontal seismic force, which is applied to the bridge in case of earthquake, is obtained. CONSTITUTION: A bridge support with a shear-resistant device for earthquake resistance consists of an upper plate, a lower plate, a shear-resistant device(100), a support(200), a horizontal-force resisting/supporting plate(300) and a rib connecting bolt(400). An inserting protrusion, which is downwardly protruded with a given depth, is formed on the center of the bottom of the upper plate, which consists of a square steel plate. Support grooves are upwardly formed on the center of the top of the lower plate at given intervals. The shear-resistant device consists of negative reaction resistance anchor bolts are fixed across the support grooves simultaneously with being inserted into the support grooves of the inserting protrusion.
