PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating various inflammatory diseases containing Ostericum Koreanum extract or bisabolangelone is provided to block generation and secretion of inflammation-inducing materials of prostaglandin and inflammatory cytokine. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing Ostericum Koreanum extract containing bisabolangelone comprises: a step of adding methanol to Ostericum Koreanum extract to obtain methanol extract; a step of suspending the methanol extract in the water and adding hexane; a step of collecting aqueous layer to obtain hexane fraction layer; and a step of adding ethyl acetate to the hexane fraction liquid to collecting ethylacetate layer. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains Ostericum Koreanum extract as an active ingredient, containing bisabolangelone as an active. A functional food for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains the Ostericum Koreanum extract as an active ingredient.
