PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing silica nanowire is provided to enable mass production of silica nanowire through a simple manufacturing process using a carbon nanotube as a central nucleus.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing silica nanowire comprises the steps of: bonding silica around a carbon nanotube to prepare a carbon nanotube-based silica nanowire composite; and heating the silica nanowire composite to remove the carbon nanotube. The first step includes the steps of: introducing a functional group on the surface by modifying the carbon nanotube; and reacting silica precursor capable of bonding the carbon nanotube with the functional group, with a basic material to obtain a reactant.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
