PURPOSE: A boiler is provided to maximize heating efficiency by increment in the retention time of flame and temperature.;CONSTITUTION: A boiler comprises a burner, a heat exchanger(160), and a retention extending unit. The burner burns fuel and generates combustion gas. The heating water exchanges the heat of water for heating in order to heat the water for heating by combustion gas. A communicating hole(161) passes through the upper and lower surfaces of the heat exchanger, so the combustion gas moves upward.
