THE CONTACTLESS BIOMETRIC DEVICE HAVING AN AUTOMATIC LOCATIONING SETTING FUNCTION OF USER AND THEREBY CONTACTLESS BIOMETRIC METHOD

PURPOSE: A contactless biometric authentication device, which an automatic location setting function of a user and a method thereof are provided to locate a user in a optimum distance allowing a biometric authentication device, thereby remarkably reducing malfunction rate and enhancing the authentication processing speed. CONSTITUTION: A first sensor(100) senses intensity of illumination of surrounding of a device. A second sensor(200) senses the height of a user. A calculation unit calculates the neighboring illumination and the height of the user to calculate the optimum user location for an image or video capture. A laser pointer(400) indicates the optimum user location to the front direction of the device.
