PURPOSE: A facility for automatically extinguishing fires using sand that is stored inside a storage tank is provided to easily sense the generation of dangerous articles regardless of the storage quantity of the dangerous articles.;CONSTITUTION: An automatic fire extinguishing system using sand(100) includes a storage tank(110), a fire detection unit(120), and a controller(140). The storage tank stores dangerous articles. The fire detection unit senses the inner side of the storage tank. A hopper is formed on the upper part of the storage tank. Dry sand is loaded in the storage tank. The controller controls the storage tank, the operation of the hopper, and fire detection unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
