PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the unusual state of a cooling block for an inverter is provided to the blocking of a cooling channel or leakage based on flow rate detected by a flow rate detecting unit. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting the unusual state of a cooling block(10) for an inverter comprises a flow detector(40), a controller(50), a memory, and an alarm unit(60). The flow detector is installed on the outlet of a cooling channel(13) and measures the flow rate of the cooling water. The cooling block for an inverter determines the blocking of the inner channel or water leakage. The memory stores the set standard value. The alarm unit sounds alarms to the outside according to the control signals of the controller.
