THE METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FOCUS IN IMAGE CAPTURED FROM MULTI-FOCUS OBJECTS

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a focus in an image captured from multi-focus objects is provided to quickly and accurately a focal distance according to an optical axis about an interesting object from an obtained image, thereby obtaining a sharp image about the interesting object. CONSTITUTION: Images of objects are obtained respectively by every interval. N interesting regions and M interesting regions are set in the obtained images at a fixed interval. Among the objects, coordinates of the interesting object are detected respectively. The sharpness of the dynamic focal region defined in each image is calculated. A distance moved along with an optical axis is determined as a focal distance of a multi-focal object in an image with the best sharpness value.
