PURPOSE: A method for preparing a novel compound derived from Oryza sativa cv. Heugjinjubyeo and a food and pharmaceutical composition containing the same are provided to remove ROS(reactive oxygen species) and suppress lipid peroxidation.;CONSTITUTION: A compound of chemical formula 1 is extract from bran of Oryza sativa cv. Heugjinjubyeo using ethyl alcohol, n-hexane, water, chloroform, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, or mixture thereof.
