PURPOSE: A toilet is provided, which prevents dirt from splashing to the outside by elevating a toilet seat when a male urinates. CONSTITUTION: A toilet comprises: a toilet seat operating unit(7) which is installed on the toilet floor to be close to a toilet bowl body(3) and makes a toilet seat(2) ascend and descend; and a pair of dirt shields which prevent dirt from splashing to the outside by blocking the left and right of the ascended toilet seat when the toilet seat is ascended. The toilet seat operating unit comprises a pedal case(8). A pedal axis(9) is installed in the inner side of the pedal case. In the front of the pedal axis, a pedal(10) is projected from the front.
