PURPOSE: A liquid display device of a wide viewing angle vertical alignment mode is provided to have vertical alignment liquid crystal cells with different cell gaps according to red, green, or blue wavelength areas.;CONSTITUTION: Polarizing plates on which a negative biaxial A plate(14,24), a polarizer(11,21), and a protective film are laminated are included in an upper plate and a lower plate respectively. One of negative biaxial A plates of the upper and lower polarizing plates is in parallel with an absorbing axis of a polarizer adjacent to a slow axis. Another negative biaxial A plate is vertical to the absorbing axis of a polarizer adjacent to another slow axis.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
