摘要

PURPOSE: A method of improving the surface quality of a hot-rolled steel sheet is provided to reduce the abrasion of a work roll to extend the lifespan of the work roll.;CONSTITUTION: A method of improving the surface quality of a hot-rolled steel sheet is as follows. A hot-rolling temperature is controlled in a hot-rolling process of manufacturing the hot-rolled steel sheet, the phase fraction of a scale formed on the surface of the hot-rolled steel sheet is controlled, and thus the surface damage of a work roll due to the scale is prevented. The scale is composed of FeO of 95% or more. The hot-rolling temperature is controlled to be within a range of 850-950°C. The hot-rolling temperature is controlled so that the breaking strength of the scale on the surface of the hot-rolled steel sheet becomes lower than that of the scale on the work roll.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
