IMAGE SYSTEM FOR CHROMA PRESERVATIVE INTER-VIEW CROCSSTALK REDUCTION AND CROSSTALK REDUCTION METHOD

PURPOSE: An image system for chroma preservative inter-view crosstalk reduction and a crosstalk reduction method thereof are provided to improve contrast ratio and prevent the reduction of chroma by including a luminance scaling unit which generates a scaling result image. CONSTITUTION: An image system for chroma preservative inter-view crosstalk reduction comprises: an image analysis unit(110), a luminance scaling unit(120), a crosstalk-reduced image generating unit(130) and a crosstalk sensing unit(140). The image analysis unit extracts a feature of an image by analyzing an input image, and the luminance scaling unit generates a scaling result image by scaling the luminance components of the input image in a luminance-color space. The crosstalk-reduced image generating unit calculates the crosstalk for the luminance components in the luminance-color space, and generates a crosstalk-reduced image based on the crosstalk and the scaling result image for the luminance components. The crosstalk sensing unit receives crosstalk information through a crosstalk sensor.
