PURPOSE: Electrowinning method and apparatus for recovering precious metals from an aqueous solution are provided to enhance the electrodeposition quantity and speed of metallic ion by simultaneously performing the carbon adsorption and electrodeposition of the metallic ion. CONSTITUTION: An electrowinning method of recovering precious metals from an aqueous solution is as follows. An electrowinning cell(1) is formed in a cylinder shape. Cathode(3) is formed from porous metal of a three-dimensional mesh structure, or a porous carbon material. For the electrodeposition speed of the metallic ion to the cathode to increase, activated carbon makes contact with the cathode and is densely filled in the cylindrical cathode. Since treating solution flows into through the activated carbon layer, the activated-carbon adsorption and cathode electrodeposition of the metallic ion are made simultaneously.
