METHOD FOR TREATING WASTEWATER USING NITRIFICATION REACTION IN SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR

PURPOSE: A wastewater treatment method using the wastewater nitrification method inside a continuous batch reactor is provided to reduce the carbon source cost and required energy for nitrifying ammonia into nitric acid. CONSTITUTION: A wastewater treatment method using the wastewater nitrification method inside a continuous batch reactor comprises the following steps: oxidizing ammonia nitrogen inside waste water using an inhibition action of a nitrite oxidizer; and controlling the pH inside the continuous batch reactor into 7~8, until the reaction metaphase of a nitrification process, to induce the inhibition of the nitrite oxidizer by free ammonia.
