PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for detecting a sybil attack node using localization information and hash chain in a ubiquitous sensor network are provided to solve the problems related to re-transmission attack and message falsification when detecting security vulnerability and sybil attack nodes.;CONSTITUTION: A sybil attack node detection apparatus(200) comprises a wireless communication unit(210), a data storage unit(220), and a control unit(230). The wireless communication unit performs a wireless transmission and reception operation with wireless sensor nodes. The data storage unit stores the location information and hash chain information of the sensor nodes required for security provision. The control unit provides the security of the sensor node based on the location information and the hash chain information of the stored sensor nodes of the data storage unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
