PURPOSE: An apparatus for testing dielectric breakdown is provided to rapidly charge and discharge a current through rapid switching power, thereby preventing the dielectric breakdown of a sample.;CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for testing dielectric breakdown, a first transformer(211) flows a charge current and remaining current in a sample to a power supply unit according to a control signal. A DC link member(213) makes the DC current outputted from the first transformer smooth and applies it to the second transformer, and it transmits the charge current and reaming current in the sample line to the first transformer.
