PURPOSE: Work queue selection on a local processor within multiple processor architectures is provided to improve the efficiency of multiple processor computing systems by using more accurate processor loading measurement technique for a processor which performs a task distributing process.;CONSTITUTION: A specific processor accepts a task from a work queue(402), and searches a remote queue availability flag from a share memory for the work queue(404). If the remote queue availability flag is red, the processor searches a lower comparison value from the share memory(406,410). If a current work queue size is lower than a determined lower comparison value, the processor changes the color of the remote queue availability flag into a green color(414).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
