MUTUAL SEARCH AND ALERT BETWEEN STRUCTURED AND UNSTRUCTURED DATA SOURCES

PURPOSE: A mutual search and alert between structured and unstructured data sources is provided to search unstructured data sources with an existing search engine using initial search queries. CONSTITUTION: A search engine searches a first set of unstructured data sources about initial search queries. Search hits are received from the first set search result of the unstructured data sources. Search queries are retrieved from the search hits. Entities corresponding to the retrieved terms are extracted(470). The search engine executes each of the sub-queries to obtain a plurality of search results, and combines the search results based on the information content calculated for the sub-queries.
