PURPOSE: A method for removing pores inside high melting point reactive metal castings and a high melting point reactive metal casting made by the same are provided to improve the quality of castings by efficient removal of pores inside high melting point reactive metal castings.;CONSTITUTION: A method for removing pores inside high melting point reactive metal castings removes internal pores through an HIP(Hot Isostatic Press) process. The HIP process is performed at the temperature between 950°C and 70% of melting point of corresponding reactive metal under the pressure of 150bar - 551bar. The high melting point reactive metal is made of Ti or alloy including Ti as a main component. The temperature range of the HIP process is 950°C-1,172°C. The high melting point reactive metal is made of Zr or alloy including Zr as a main component. The temperature range of the HIP process is 950°C-1,296°C.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
