PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device with a wide viewing angle is provided to embody a normally white mode in an IPS(In Plane Switching) structure. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a first polarizer(163), a second polarizer(161), and liquid crystal(181). The first polarizer has a polarizing axis(103) which is parallel with a first direction. The second polarizer has a polarizing axis in parallel with the first direction. A liquid crystal is placed between the first and the second polarizers and aligned along the first direction or a second direction which is orthogonal direction from the first direction.
