PURPOSE: A composition containing new -iso-cubebene compound extracted from schisandra chinensis is provided to enable use as an active ingredient of a composition for preventing and treating immune diseases through calcium signaling activity. CONSTITUTION: A novel -iso-cubebene compound is extracted from Schisandra chinensis and has chemical formula 1. The -iso-cubebene compound is strongly stimulated the generation of CXCL8 in human neutrophils. In addition, -iso-cubebene-induced CXCL8 generation is almost completely suppressed by EGTA, a calcium chelator.
