PURPOSE: A method for differentiating human embryonic stem cells is provided to induce selective apoptosis of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells.;CONSTITUTION: A method for differentiating human embryonic stem cells comprises: a step of culturing embryoid derived from the human embryonic stem cells in a medium for differentiating to induce differentiation; a step of adding quercetin and culturing; and a step of inducing selective apoptosis of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells to separate differentiated cells.
