PURPOSE: A method for purifying olefin using pyrrolidinium-based or piperidinium-based ionic liquids comprising copper(I) halide is provided to ensure simple and economical adsorption and membrane separation process and to remove acetylene-based compounds from olefin in high removal ratio.;CONSTITUTION: A method for purifying olefin comprises the steps of: dissolving copper(I) halide represented by chemical formula 1: CuX in a pyrrolidinium-based ionic liquid represented by chemical formula 2 or piperidinium-based ionic liquid represented by chemical formula 3 to prepare a copper (I) halide-containing ionic liquid mixture; and contacting the copper (I) halide-containing ionic liquid mixture with olefin to remove an acetylene-based compound from olefin.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
